A POSITIVE NOTE: 

The Good in AMERICA - While the United States has progressively degenerated from its original founding principles, it still is THE major source of  benevolent giving of money, food, medical aid, and materials in the world.

The Good in CHRISTIANITY - While many "churches" in America have similarly drifted away from the biblical way of the Good Shepherd, it is still those who profess to follow Jesus as Messiah who give the largest percentage of money, food, medical aid, personal time in service, and material goods to others in need, even to those who are NOT fellow Christians.
