Featured Books:

Ken Sande, (http://www.hispeace.org), a unique man among attorneys (even Christian ones), founded PeaceMaker Ministries many years ago, to help believers utilize the Bible's wonderful reconciliation principles for God's glory.  Far too many Christians are suing, divorcing, hurting one another, and grossly dishonoring our Heavenly Father before a watching world of unbelievers.  Ken's first book, PeaceMaking, has helped countless people across the globe, and now his newest book, Peacemaking for Families, applies God's conflict resolution truths to the most important set of relationships each of us have - the Home.

Nancy Wilson, The Fruit of Her Hands.  [One of the best books for understanding and growing in the role of a godly woman.  It is a thoroughly biblical work, practical, and balanced.  CANNON PRESS]

Why Government Can't Save You: An Alternative to Political Activism, by Dr. John MacArthur.  This important book will challenge you to choose a truly biblical response as the world turns increasingly toward global governance and universal spirituality.  Beware of the fleshly tendency to demand our rights, rant and rail at lost sinners, instead of presenting the humble, heart of holy love that is the character of Christ.  See the article: "Are You Balancing Holiness & Love?".

Dr. Wayne Mack (http://www.mackministries.org), has been at the forefront of the biblical, discipleship counseling movement for decades.  For the past many years, he has been instrumental in the development and growth of the Biblical Counseling Department at The Master's College (John MacArthur, President).

Wayne's newest book, God's Solutions to Life's Problems, written together with his son, Joshua, is one of his most practical yet.  We highly recommend it!

Uniting Church and Home: A Blueprint for Rebuilding Church Community, by Eric Wallace.  Eric's book is a clear and practical presentation of the concerns that many Christian families today are trying to share with their pastors.  It expresses the heart of the purpose and strategy of our own church and ministry, Family Bible Church & Biblical Family Soulcare.  About the book, Mike Farris, President, Home School Legal Defense says,

"[Eric's book] will help pastors who want to build strong churches that support the work of Christian families.  And, just as important, it will help Christian parents who want to build strong families that support the life of the church.  Home schooling families especially will find this to be an encouraging book, filled with practical, workable ideas for integrating the church and home."

George Grant, Ph.D., says: "This is an important book.  It offers a cooperative, integrated, and covenantal approach to life and ministry rarely seen in these fragmented, individualistic, and parochial times . . .  The responsibilities of the home ought to be facilitated by the church not co-opted.  Likewise, the centrality of the church ought to be embraced by the home not resisted.  This remarkable blueprint for symbiosis shows us how to strike that kind of essential balance."

Disclaimer:
Please note that we are not endorsing all of the content presented in any of the above  resources. Both the Christian and non-Christian resources are listed only for the specific reasons described in each heading. You are responsible to practice the Berean principle of Acts 17:11 and examine all material according to the Scriptures.   We believe that the answer to the modern search for counsel regarding the psyche and its relationships is found only in Christ's time-tested 2,000 year old provision for soul care (i.e., His Cross, Spirit, Word, and Church Body). We also believe that a soulcare ministry should be an integral part of, and under the authority of a local church fellowship. As such, fees should not be charged for soulcare ministry. (see our article re: Money & Ministry).   We believe the Bible is inerrant and sufficient for all non-organic soulcare needs, without the admixture of any extra-biblical theories. So please be aware that we respectfully disagree with many of the following resources where they do not stand firm regarding these vital doctrinal issues.
