As the old saying goes, "A picture speaks a thousand words". But this Norman Rockwell painting is equivalent to perhaps a million words of conviction to the modern church. The family of God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is composed of people from every nation and tongue. Therefore our churches (His called out children - ekklesia) should prove it to the world. The love and wisdom of our Father is more than sufficient to overcome the "natural" human tendency toward segregation, but we must be willing to submit to His will and actively build effective bridges for His glory.
