Genesis 1:9-13

Today's Focus: (Gen 1:9-13) Day Three (DNA Planted)

vv. 9-10 ". . . 'let dry land appear' . . . . called . . . 'Earth' "
- The third act of dividing (light/dark; waters above/below; earth/seas).
- Fertile soil (all as preparation for living souls to share in God's life).
- Foundations of Earth are complete (Psa 102:25; Job 38:4; Isa 43:13; Zec 12:1).

vv. 11-13 ". . . [plants] yielding seed after its kind
                 . . . . [plants] yielding fruit whose seed is in itself after its kind"
- Plants have no "nephesh" life (conscious soul), which is used for man and animals.
   (Gen 1:21, 24, 30; 2:7, 19; 9:4, 5, 10, 12, 15)
- They are merely organic machines designed as food for nephesh creatures that creep. 
    No pain, fear, or suffering is caused by eating them.
    Plants are not souls, but rather soul food.
- Yet plants are highly complex, beyond anything man has made.
- Complexity begins with DNA containing volumes of information
   arranged in an ordered system that is:
     * Self-regulating     * Self-correcting     * Self-replicating
   DNA = Designed Not Accidental (or DeoxyriboNucleic Acid)
- Two categories were created (Seed bearing & Fruit bearing).
   (Yet many "kinds" of each may have been included in each category).
- DNA has an incomprehensible potential for variation. (see endnote 1)
- Variation is not infinite, but limited/fixed within the "kind".
     * Only horizontal variation is possible (green/brown; tall/short; etc.).
     * Not vertical changes from one kind into another kind (not frog to a dog).
- "Kind" might fit our combined terms ("family/genus/species", but not a new "order" of creature).
    (Remember, our classification -K,P,C, O, F,G,S- is arbitrary. The Creator's is not.)
     1 Cor 15:38-39 (Hebrew terms like "brother" can be used either specifically for those in your      nuclear family, or generally for extended family) Similar usage of "kind" in Lev 11:13-32.

Why do all creatures have a DNA foundation? Does that mean that they all had to have "evolved" from the same original plant or one-celled organism?
Answer !
No, it simply means they had the same Designer (Designed Not Accidental - DNA).

Question ?
The Bible says plants were created before marine animals and even before the Sun.
But evolutionists believe that plants came after both. What does this tell us?
Answer !
Evolution is wrong and that God's authority overrules man's majority.
The accumulating evidence proves God's Word beyond any reasonable doubt.

"God saw that it was good" (the third use of this phrase)
- It simply means that this step was now complete & ready for the next one.
- God's preparations for life and fellowship were unfolding just as designed to fulfill His purpose.

"And it was so"
- It simply means, "God said it, therefore it is so, no matter what new guesses man dreams up.
"evening . . . morning . . . day three"
- E/M is used over 100 x's in the OT and all are literal 24 hour days.
- "Day" modified with a numeral is used over 100 x's in Pentateuch and all are 24 hour days.

Jesus said, "For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when he comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." (Mark 8:38)

1 * Note for example: Humans have 100,000 genes. This amount of information is equivalent to a thousand, 500-page books. Any single human could produce an incomprehensible number of different potential sperm or egg cells ( 10 with 2017 zeros). Now compare that to the fact that the number of atoms in the entire universe is estimated at 10 with only 80 zeros. And remember that these figures are only for the information potential in one human. Multiply that times all the different plant and animal kinds that have existed, and you have an insurmountable problem for atheistic evolutionists.
