"Animal-Assisted" Ministry
(Education & Counseling)

Curiosity can lead to learning, growing, and overcoming fear.

Never too young to experience the thrill of creation up close
and personal

God made babies so cute to draw our hearts to learn love,
compassion, and self-sacrifice.

It's easy to hold an audience's attention when you hold a baby
raccoon!

If you think your dog or cat can beg it's way into your heart
and arms, you should see L'l River's skills.

Young kids are my favorite group, since their hearts and minds
are eager to learn.

Of course young raccoons are also eager to learn. At only
a few weeks old, she knows how the door works!

Some scientists wonder if animals feel joy. I wonder if
some scientists have ever really known an animal.

These girls originally said, "I don't want to touch the snake".
That lasted 10 seconds.

Lizaboa is uniquely smart and maybe affectionate. She
loves human body heat, but knows and prefers me. Why?

Touching a snake is not so hard - so long as you touch the right
end :-)

Some kids are naturally cautious, while others are a well of
unanswered questions.

With over 30 animals in our rehab hospital and classroom zoo, at
least I'm never bored.

Our rescued baby gator and Russian legless lizard
Just a dachshund of a lizard that LOST genetic information for
legs.
Remember that no mechanism exists to add genetic coding to
macro-evolve new creatures, not even mutations.
Yes they can adapt by sorting existing genes and the down-grade
of coding through natural selection.

Gators are rare reptiles in that the mothers care for their
young for a long time after hatching.

With over 30 rescued animals in the classroom, it's also easy
for me to get distracted :-)
